Our Craft
A Lifetime Spent Perfecting The Details
Tile is one of the last things installed in a space.
It is also one of the first things people notice.
The pattern underfoot. The shower that feels perfectly balanced. The kitchen backsplash that quietly becomes the focal point of the room.
Those results do not happen by accident.
For nearly thirty years, Nick Pletts has built a reputation throughout Maine for precision, problem-solving, and craftsmanship that stands the test of time. Every project benefits from decades of experience working with natural stone, porcelain, ceramic, mosaics, custom layouts, historic homes, luxury renovations, and demanding commercial environments.
Experience brings speed. Not rushed work. Not shortcuts.
Simply the confidence that comes from knowing what works, what doesn't, and how to execute efficiently without compromising quality.
The result is work that moves forward smoothly, respects project timelines, and delivers the level of finish clients expect when they've invested significantly in their home or business.
Precision Without Compromise
Every layout is planned before installation begins. Patterns are balanced, cuts are intentional, and every detail is considered before a single tile is set. The difference is visible long after the project is complete.

Three decades in the trade means fewer surprises, faster solutions, and better outcomes. Experience allows us to work efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Kitchen Backsplashes & Fireplace Surrounds
The right tile installation can completely transform a room.
Whether it's handcrafted ceramic, natural stone, porcelain, or a custom design feature, we create focal points that elevate kitchens, fireplaces, and gathering spaces throughout the home.
Bathroom Tile Work
Bathrooms are among the most technically demanding spaces in a home. Waterproofing, substrate preparation, layout planning, drainage, and finish quality all have to work together flawlessly.
From custom showers and heated floors to full wet rooms and luxury primary suites, we build bathrooms that are as durable as they are beautiful.
Floor Tile - All Rooms
Large-format porcelain, marble, slate, travertine, encaustic cement, and custom patterns installed with meticulous attention to flatness, alignment, and long-term durability.
Beautiful floors begin long before the tile is visible.
Outdoor & Patios
Maine's climate demands thoughtful planning and proper installation.
Exterior tile projects require the right materials, proper drainage, freeze-thaw considerations, and technical expertise that protects the investment through every season.
Mosaics & Custom Artwork
Some projects go beyond installation.
Custom mosaics, decorative inlays, medallions, borders, and one-of-a-kind feature pieces bring artistry into a space and create details that cannot be replicated by mass-produced products.
